Our Story

Everydog Behaviour & Training was born in 2008

Since then I've worked one on one with many dogs of all shapes and breeds, along with their humans.

Most people have dogs for companionship. They don’t require high levels of formal obedience or special skills. Most of us want a well-adjusted pooch that happily follows the general rules of the individual/family. As the role of the canine in modern society changes and expands, our interest in what they might be communicating to us fascinates and intrigues.

The business changed slowly but most definitely into training people to train their dogs, because it's you, the people, who put in the time.

Everydog specialises in dog behaviour – in what your dog is telling you. Humans and dogs have many similarities and some fundamental differences and it’s very important to recognise the differences for a healthy relationship.

After all, the human is (supposedly) the brains in the outfit! It makes sense for a person to learn to “speak” dog rather than the other way around and it’s not rocket science.

The benefits of understanding dog-talk are far-reaching. Not only does it make for a happy lifetime together, but it sets a dog up to learn for life.

A dog that loves to learn is one that can do that high level of obedience training, that can learn a fundamental assistance role, or fly-ball, or herding, or be the smiliest, tail waggiest knee-sitter ever!

The human is (supposedly) the brains in the outfit!

Human body language almost always elicits a response from the dog and communicating to dogs in a way they understand increases the bond between you.
